RULES FOR CATFISH HUNTING AT SUMČÁK

CATFISH HUNTING RULES:

Every hunter is obliged to familiarize himself with the rules prior to starting the hunting and to adhere to it unconditionally. When entering the lake area, everyone voluntarily accepts this order. There is no need for an official hunting license. You must contact the manager prior to your arrival and departure. Hunting style in the lake is “catch and let go” nonstop with up to 3 rods, of which up to 2 rods can be for catfish. (the complementary rod can be used for hunting pikes, zanders, perches, carps or as a feeder). When fishing using a feeder it is forbidden to use the caught fish as a bait. If you do not respect this regulation and the fishing guards reveal your misconduct, you will be expelled from the fishing ground, and you will no longer be allowed to come in the future. We do it due to the protection of our fish, there are some beautiful giant perches that we need to protect. We therefore ask you to respect this rule. During the day, you can drag predators using the additional rod without having to pull away the catfish rods, but only if there is a person on the shore, who is able to manipulate the rods when the fish engages them . The same is true if you go fishing during the day from the boat. If you do not have a responsible person who is present on the shore and you want to go hunting from the boat, it is necessary to pull the catfish rods out of the water.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS WHEN FISHING ON-SHORE

• Catfish rod 300kg
• Master cord (not a regular fishing line) for 60 kg
• 100 kg hooklink
• Strength catfish hooks, such as Owner, Gamakatsu .The only permitted assemblies: single-hook + triple hook, or assembly with two single-hooks of size min. 5/0.
• Swivels and carbines for 100 kg

During the pull, the hunter is obliged to get the fish as quickly as possible from the water and not to release the brake near the obstacles due to the danger of the fish getting stuck with the hook and its possible death. When taking pictures, the hunter is required to have a sail under the fish that is available in the fishing ground and a bucket for watering. The sail has to be placed directly from the water so that the fish will not be pulled on the ground even for short distance. If you put a fish on it – it must already be wet! When raising the catfish, take extreme care and do NOT GRAB THE CATFISH UNDER THE STOMACH !! When lifting perpendicularly, hold the fish at the dorsal fin and do not put your hands into the gills. It is allowed to lift the fish perpendicularly to its maximum length of 160 cm. The fish must be returned within five minutes to the water. In case of pulling an injured fish (bleeding), photographs are not allowed and it is necessary to immediately put it back into the water to stop the bleeding and consult the manager for further steps. The use of fishing shelters (bivouacs) is permitted. Fire is allowed only at designated locations. Fishing with a bait, zavážení and catching by boat is permitted. Direct hunting from the boat as well. We allow the use of electric motors. In case of free water area, catfish can also be caught by trolling. Spinning is allowed (spinning equipment needs to be consulted with the manager). In all hunting spots, the principle of clean environment must be complied with, garbage and cigarette butts belong to collecting bottles, not behind yourself to the forest !! After leaving the fishing spots, the fishing spot must be in the same state as it was during your arrival. Garbage and cigarette butts will not be tolerated !!! A garbage container is available at the access gate, please put the garbage in this container prior to your departure. There is a prohibition of cutting the surrounding bushes !! Any visits to the fishing ground must be reported in advance to the manager. Using buoy is allowed. Bathing is allowed at your own risk and only to visitors to our site. Bathing is strictly forbidden for others. A cooperation with the Czech Police is agreed, so if you see anyone who is not our visitor and wants to bath, contact the police and they will resolve the violation immediately. Vertical catching is permitted. Strict prohibition of luring.

The operator is not responsible for any damage to the health of visitors at the premises caused by their own carelessness, overestimation of their skills, physical abilities, or violations of this order. For the same reasons, the operator is not responsible for the eventual death of a visitor at the premises. Every site visitor is responsible for his / her own belongings. The visitor is obliged to ensure that the belongings cannot be stolen or damaged, including objects stored in parked vehicles.

In case of any violation of the rules, the visitor will be expelled from the site without any compensation, with the prohibition of any future hunting on this site.

Men accompaniment: not possible (it’s all about people, there was a tendency to share allowances, so we had to react to it)

FISHING SPOTS:

Fishing Spot 1: intended for 1-2 hunters – sleeping in bivouac

Fishing Spot 2: intended for at least 1-2 hunters(max 3) – sleeping in bivouac

Fishing Spot 3: intended for 2 hunters (max 4) – sleeping in the cottage (heated, soundproofed, electricity – solar panels – !!only for recharging devices and lightning!! – max power 300W, sleeping for 4 people + extra bed option, cooker, heating pb – your own 2kg pb necessary, cooling gastrobox – it is necessary to buy your own ice, eventually you can buy frozen vegetables in the nearest shop or gas station.) This large family fishing spot is rented only along with the cottage (at least 2 people).

Fishing Spot 4: intended for 2 hunters (max 4) – sleeping in the cottage (heated, soundproofed, electricity – solar panels – !!only for recharging devices and lightning!! – max power 300W, sleeping for 4 people + extra bed option, cooker, heating pb – your own 2kg pb necessary, cooling gastrobox – it is necessary to buy your own ice, eventually you can buy frozen vegetables in the nearest shop or gas station.) This large family fishing spot is rented only along with the cottage (at least 2 people).

Fishing Spot 5: intended for 1-2 hunters – sleeping in bivouac

Fishing Spot 6: intended for 2 hunters – sleeping in bivouac

Fishing Spot VIP: intended for at least 2, max 3 hunters – this spot can be accessed by your caravan or van. Payment of +400,- /person/ night in addition to the allowance payment (payment to the land owner)

The fishing guards will authenticate themselves by a Sumčák fishing area license. We ask for your maximum cooperation, the fishing guards are experienced fishermen who are not here to buzzle you, but to protect our fish and help you with any problems.
